The OHN offers different programs to achieve different goals. The EXPO is an educational and entertaining gathering of old house lovers. The Great Unveiling is a hands on opportunity to help an old house in need. The Workshops and Seminars are free sessions meant to give old house enthusiasts the skills necessary to care for historic homes. Below is a brief description of each program. We also have pages devoted to each program that go into more detail. Dig deeper to find the program that suits your needs and interests!

Old houses are built out of different materials and can be put together differently than modern houses. In our workshops and seminars we train people about materials and techniques. We share the names of contractors experienced in old house repair and restoration. We give workshops so folks can get real hands on experience. We educate about tools, methods and when to call in the professionals. Our seminars cover everything from ice dams to asbestos abatement. We teach folks who can't afford to hire a contractor and those who just want to do it ourselves.
The 2009 Schedule of Workshops will be available at the Old House EXPO in January and then on this site!
A unique opportunity to see other old houses in the midst of restoration. We prevail upon local old house owners to let us tour their project houses. Some houses are on the tour for two or three years in a row to let our members see the progress involved in large restorations. This tour is always popular and we recommend early registration to insure your place in this program. Many thanks to the home owners who open their houses to our curious participants.
